Philosophy Personal Professional Counseling was developed to provide caring, effective, warm therapy to individuals in the Davison and surrounding area. PPC treats you as a person. A person who has encountered life trauma, depression, death, loss, abuse, brain disease or some other issue that seems to big to handle on your own. We live in a fast paced, ever changing stressful country. There are self help books, TV talk shows, self discovery tapes even TV commercials and advertising that talk to us about our emotional and mental state. I think all of that is great in that it helps reduce the stigma attached to emotional and mental distress and brings “getting help’ out of the closet. People are more accepting now of the idea of counseling, therapy or “seeing a shrink” because of these trends. Most people still think hard about going to “see someone” though because the feel vulnerable, ashamed or “it's not that bad”. It takes courage to pick up the phone and call to make an appointment. Then it is unsettling to walk into an office wondering what will happen. “What will be asked of me?” “Will I have to tell ‘everything’?” PPC works with you where you are and with professional experience, patience and knowledge helps you to “get to where you are going” in life.
